1. How do I receive my crochet pattern after purchase?

After purchasing, you'll receive an instant download link for immediate digital access on the order confirmation page. There will be a link underneath each pattern you order. If you are in the Facebook app, check your email for links instead.

Your download links will be emailed to you after your order. Please check your spam/junk folder if you don't see it in your inbox. If you paid with Paypal, it went to that email. If you still can't find it, please reach out.

2. Can I get a printed version of the pattern?

Our patterns are digital downloads only, enabling immediate access without shipping. Many bestselling patterns feature printer-friendly versions without photos. If you'd like a printer-friendly version of a pattern, please contact us.

3. Are your patterns written in US or UK terms?

All of our patterns are written in US terms with step-by-step photos. You can double check the US version of the stitch by searching for it on Youtube ( for example, "Crochet How to SC in US terms")

4. How can I find a similar yarn alternative if I don't use the yarn you used?

Put the yarn I used into www.yarnsub.com and it will give you a detailed list of alternative yarns in order of similarity. It's an awesome website and tool!

5. Can I use a different yarn weight for your patterns?

While we recommend using the specified yarn weight, if you are following the measure as you go tips, you can experiment with different yarn and hook sizes! If you follow the measure as you go tips, you don't have to worry about your gauge.

6. Are the patterns suitable for beginners?

Our patterns are perfect for both beginners and experienced crocheters, with clear instructions and helpful illustrations.

7. What if the size I'm making isn't matching the measure-as-you-go tips?

Always make sure your work is aligning with the measure as you go tips included throughout the pattern. Choose to follow the size that will give you the best fit according to these tips.

9. Can I sell items I make from your patterns?

Yes, feel free to sell your creations. Please credit Mermaidcat Designs as the pattern designer. Some of my customers have sold their finished Mermaidcat pieces for hundreds of dollars and you can too!
